I would like to start with the fact that The Queen’s Adventurer is a masterpiece. I feel I have the right to say that as I have Degrees in grammar and literature, my major, a high school and adult education teacher for many years, my whole life is about reading.
The first time I read the poem, the story carried me away and I was excited to see what the Adventurer learned in every location he was traveling to. At this time, I thought this was a picaresque novel – like poem (such a contradiction), but when I read it for the second time, I changed my mind and thought it was more like a bildungsroman-like poem (there we go again), as the Adventurer reevaluated and rearranged his own opinions and priorities in life because of his experiences in the world. The adventures and the Adventurer are both worth of the discussion, all the different scenarios are interesting and complete, but I would rather comment on the author’s style of writing, that’s my favorite part of the analysis. I had to decide what I wanted to pay more attention to, the epical part (the story) or the lyrical part (the way it is expressed).
Redloh writes in a language that’s gone and it’s a loss for our society. If you ever liked to read Keats, Byron, Poe, or Dickens, please, please read The Queen Adventurer. When you start reading the first pages, the modern world will fade You’ll see the Romantic Age in its all beauty, you’ll hear those mystical archaic, forgotten words which are mementoes of the 19th century and the already forgotten values.
Redloh’s story has a message, you can hear it if you are willing to step in his charming old-fashion world. Despite all I said before I assure you, that the story is modern, the message has never been more actual, it’s just the way it is written reminds me of our biggest Romantic Poets.
I loved it.

Oh Harvey,
This is fabulous.
Your phrasing, your words.
It has been a long time since I noted down a poet’s turn of phrase –
door of tomorrow
not within or of the Throne
a tightening of the strings
Shriveling of room in which to play
Beyond the sky
Vistas braved, pictures, songs and wordings saved
for this occasion
to be disgorged as cargo
Heroism bristling
the dread that lived within all the days of want
word came a-wing, a-straddle an equine saddle
word by word, frame by frame
Fabulous. You had me crying by page 12
Because of the message, but also the language. A beautiful, beautiful use of language.
My hat is off to you.
I do not know the price of your epic poem but would be willing to purchase it.
Much love,
P. H.
As I flip through the pages of this book, I notice all the gorgeous detail, the incredible sketches, and the perfectly fitting font. I absolutely adored that aspect of the book. It made me feel as if I was in the time of the queen. That was just the beginning. Once I started reading the poem, I fell in love with the story being told. It was gorgeous, the story was majestic and fun to read. Plus, the sketches mixed in really went well with the story and allowed it to come alive.
Although each page is a continuation of the story, it also feels as if each poem is individual. I felt like I was being whisked off into a far away land while reading this book.
When I delved into the story, I saw that it’s not just about a queen, but different realms of possibility, different worlds and adventures to behold. I appreciated the time and effort that was put into this book. The writing is clearly professional, and the flow of the poetry is perfect.
I definitely had a great time reading this book, it’s one of those books that you can pick up and put down without having to worry about losing your spot.
If you are looking for a book that blends genres, then definitely keep this one in mind. It’s historical, it’s a little science fiction, it’s a poetry book, but most of all, it’s a lot of fun. I read this as an e-book, but I can see how this would be great as a print book. You must go check this one out!

Wow, sorry for such a delay in getting to open your site and read the intro and listening to that great interview!!! You really created a wonderful intrigue in this story with regard to what Mankind has been up against and how hope can be counter-created to reverse the long decline of our civilization.
